Am I taking this life too seriously? For the Lord who is love, am I serious enough?

In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be of praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Lord of light and joy, bring warmth and clarity to the obscurity and darkness of my spirit. I am so weighed down with the burden of trying to be good and faithful to you. Make me strong; carry me in your arms; be always close to me! Amen.
