Am I good because I tried to be good? Or am I good because I asked the Lord to help me to become good?

Prayer
Dearest Advocate, I cannot believe, nor learn, nor understand without you. I cannot hope for pardon or grace without you. I cannot be patient, nor humble, nor obedient, nor moderate, nor steadfast without you. May your divine assistance remain with us always. Amen.
